No Surprise: A-Rod MVP

It came as no surprise that Alex Rodriguez won the 2007 American League Most Valuable Player award. This is his third award and his second (2004) since arriving in New York.

Rodriguez opened the season with stunning come from behind home runs and finished with 54 by season's end.
Rodriguez has already won the Clutch Player of the Year handed out in early November.

A-Rod lead the majors in almost every offensive category, including two triple crown categories.

Runs Scored: 143 (1)
Hits: 183 (15)
OBP: .422 (4)
SLG: .645 (1)
OPS: 1.067 (1)

Magglio Ordonez of the Detroit Tigers, finished second in the voting and received two first-place votes blocking a unanimous decision for A-Rod.
