Yankee All-Star Update

Most of you already know that the American defeated the National League 3-2 for a tenth straight year.
Angels outfielder Vladimir Guererro hit a solo shot to make the score 1-0 only to be topped by a David Wright home run and Carlos Beltran scored when Roy Halloday threw a wild pitch.
The huge blow came in the top of the ninth inning with two outs and on an 0-2 count, Michael Young hit a two-RBI triple to score Jose Lopez and Troy Glaus off closer Trevor Hoffman.
Mariano entered the bottom of the ninth and earned his third All-Star save, tying him with Hall of Famer Dennis Eckersley for most ever.

Derek Jeter and Alex Rodriguez, both starters, went a combined 0-5.

Tomorrow all teams get the day off and the stars have a day to rest up before continuing the season. The second half will be more exciting with the July 31 trade deadline, the race for the division title, and the wild card race.
