Matsui Powers Yanks to Win

Hideki Matsui helped lead the Yankees to a 8-5 win and a sweep over the Rangers.
Matsui, batting in the desiganted hitter spot, smacked a three-run homer in the fourth followed up with a Kelly Stinnett two-run base hit to give the Yankees a 8-3 lead.
Tanyon Sturtz loaded the bases only to have Scott Proctor get out of the jam allowing one run.
Kyle Farnsworth and Mariano Rivera pitched a solid inning apiece to close out the game.
Starter Chein-Ming Wang threw a seven hit, three run, two strike out, no walk game to earn the win.
This win marks Joe Torre's 1,000th Yankees victory. Only hall of famers Joe McCarthy (1,460), Casey Stengel (1,149) and Miller Huggins (1,067) have won more.
Yankees run their undefeated day-game record to 11-0 and have won their season high fifth consecutive game.

I have, and always will be, a true Yankees fan. Don't give me that bandwagon crap; bandwagon fans are for people who need to belong.
