Johnny Slama Away

Randy Johnson had yet another weak outing this season however earned the win thanks to the saving bats.
Johnson allowed a run in the first inning but was quickly erased when Hideki Matsui tied it with a solo home run, his first since April 8.
Tampa Bay hit in two more runs in the third only to be matched by the Yankees in the fifth to make it 4-3.
In the bottom of the fifth, Ty Wiggington of the Devil Rays made it a 5-4 game with his two run shot.
Jason Giambi walked with the bases loaded in the seventh to tie the game and Alex Rodriguez was hit by a pitch to bring in Johnny Damon to give the Yankees a one run lead.
Damon added four more runs in the eighth with a four shot grand to take the life out of the Rays and to give the Yankees a 10-5 lead that they would eventually hold onto for a win.
Thank you Johnny Damon, you have a bat.
