Yankees Go Extra for Win

It took the Yankees extra innings to defeat the new rival Devil Rays. This marks the first time this season that the Yankees have reached extra innings for a decision.
The Rays jumped out on Wright early, no surprise there, taking a two run lead in the fifth thanks to a two-run home run by Thomas Perez. Actually, Wright had a pretty good outing, I'll give him that, he deserve's some credit from me, however, the bats didn't wake up until the seventh when Jorge Posada and Miguel Cairo drive in one apiece.
Wright gave up the ball to the bullpen and they pitched brilliantly.
In the tenth, Alex Rodriguez broke out of a 1-17 slump with the game winning RBI single and Hideki Matsui broke out of his 6-37 patheticness to add in an insurance run.
What the hell has gotten into the Yankees bats? Not every pitch can be a home run, so instead of being like Reggie Jackson and own all the highlights, act like a team and win some freaking games, especially against a team from Tampa Bay. This is pathetic.

Final Score:
Yankees 4, Devil Rays 2 F/10

Up Next:
Yankees @ Devil Rays
Randy Johnson (4-2, 4.71 ERA) vs. Doug Waechter (0-1, 5.95 ERA)

Red Sox Update:
Sox lose to the Blue Jays in a back and forth battle.

I have, and always will be, a true Yankees fan. Don't give me that bandwagon crap; bandwagon fans are for people who need to belong.
