Weekly Update 5/11
Record: 19-19 (T 3rd)
Past Week: 3-3
Team Avg: .264 (12th +.006)
Team ERA: 4.30 (19th -0.06)
Power Rank: 18 (+2)
A happy Mother's Day to all, and now since the Yankees game was postponed, you have more time to spend for yourself.
As for the Yankees, the yo-yo continues. Losing two of three to Cleveland, and splitting the series against Detroit. The Yankees have a pure .500 record, meaning they are .500 on both the road (9-9), and at home (10-10).
Who's Hot
Darrell Rasner
A replacement pitcher for Ian Kennedy, Rasner has gone 2-0 with a 3.00 ERA and a 0.83 WHIP including 5 strike outs in 12 innings.
Bobby Abreu
This past week Abreu has went 8 for 22 with a .500 slugging percentage and a .981 on base plus slugging.
Mariano Rivera
15 innings on the season, no earned runs score. He has recorded two saves in three appearances and only allowed two hits in three innings of relief.
Who's Cold
Jose Molina
One hit in nine at bats this season. The double's parade that he demonstrated in April has been long forgotten as Molina is now just a defensive replacement.
Kei Igawa
Phil Hughes replacement has been just as bad as last season. Igawa went three innings, allowed 11 hits and six earned runs to cross the plate. With today's rain delay, Igawa's next start will be skipped as the rotation is given an extra day.
+ Down for the Count +
Wilson Betemit
After returning from an injury earlier this week, Betemit suffered a hamstring injury and has been placed back on the disabled list.
